The Moon is Earth's cosmic companion, and it's importance to our world cannot be understated. On the night of April 14 of this year, the Western Hemisphere will witness a total lunar eclipse. In this Webinar we’ll describe the Moon's normal appearance in the sky and how to observe it as well as how to best observe the upcoming eclipse. We’ll then discuss how Maya people have understood and expressed their ideas about the Moon through the ages. Next, we’ll summarize the current research and exploration of the Moon.
