Is there more solar energy to heat someone's home during solar maximum or when the sun is more active?

This is a good question, Javier, but on the ground we don't even talk about this, so it must be a small effect! Luckily, there is plenty of energy in the sunshine we get almost everywhere to heat a properly designed (or retrofitted) home.

    Happy day,
