What are your opinions of the upcoming Parker mission next year, any of you involved, or know someone who is? Thx

    Hi Andrea,

I'm not involved, but I certainly know people who are. They might be too busy to be doing Solar Week right now. I think it should be a really interesting mission. It will be studying how the sun's atmosphere expands into space to become the solar wind, and also highly energetic particles (moving at close to the speed of light) that are generated by solar activity.
Getting up so close to the sun should help us understand those things much better.
