    Hi Chris,

    I think this is probably a little bit outside the expertise of the scientists on Solar Week, as most of us study the Sun or the Earth's magnetosphere. However, I do know that NASA has an Astrobiology program to help us understand the biosphere of our own planet, the conditions required for life elsewhere in the universe, and the types of extra-terrestrial life forms we might find. I have heard about discussions on what would be required to terraform another planet, such as Mars, but I have not heard about any definite plans to do so. So far, the only solar system body that has been visited and explored by manned landings is the Moon. I think that we will probably need to do a lot more manned and unmanned exploration of Mars and other objects in our solar system before we can start planning to alter the climate of another planet to support human habitation.
