    Hi Dennis That all depends on what kind of scientist you want to become. Once you figure that out then you can figure out what sort of classes you should be taking in the coming years and what to study when you get to college. Over all though all scientists need a good foundation in math so that is a good place to start. Good luck Dawn

    Hi Dennis, Usually, if a college graduate wants to be a scientist, he/she will go on to graduate school for a PhD training. While college prepared you with general knowledge, PhD course and research train you in a specific area. After getting a PhD degree, most people become either college professors or scientists.

    i agree with the others that learning math is very important. Read a lot of books or take science camps to find out what kind of science is the most exciting to you. Whatever you enjoy the most and are the best at is the one to try. You spend too many hours and days working to be in a field that isn't fun to you. \
